Mike, you might see me sooner than next year. I finally got a letter from Calvary Cemetery. Looks like I will actually have to come there to give them the original deed, pay the bill and pick a stone. I will let you know when that will be. Probably in August sometime. Can't do it now with the moving and all.

Ok ya'll......please don't beat me up anymore. I won't mention the word fat again. I was just being myself, just joking around. When you all meet me in New York next year, you will realize that I have NO self esteem problem, and I swear I am not down on myself. No reason to be..... I know exactly how I got to be fat (OOPS excuse me - voluptuous!) I have certainly ENJOYED every morsel of pasta that has crossed my lips!!!
Good Gina. We love you and will not allow anyone to put you down - not even you. Something tells me you will be a lot of fun in New York!

Maybe 2009 we all meet in Napoli!

Or perhaps the other Napoli, the one in Florida. A great destination when it's snowing and cold up north. Naples is about 45 minutes south of me. As empty nesters, we could host 4 people fairly comfortably. With a winter climate pretty similar to the Mezzogiorno and some of the greatest beaches anywhere, southwest Florida is a great place to visit in the winter. And you'd all get to meet my daughter Lea, her husband, and soon to be granddaughter Isabella.

AH...Naples...home of my heart! Had Mom & Dad not gotten ill, I would have been moving there this fall. Sad Naples truly is one of the most beautiful places in Florida.

This is the first year I have not been there in many years. If I can get my dad to do the right thing, perhaps I will see you this winter Biff!

Cathy,
That would be really wonderful.

Nuccia,
You could fly into Fort Myers and avoid the trip across Alligator Alley.

My parents have a house in Fort Myers the just bought two years ago, they are down there on and off during the winter. I've been a couple times, and also to Bonita Springs, Naples, Sanibel... beautiful area!

No alligators. But lots of birds. The whole town of Naples is a bird sanctuary. It's amazing. There are at least 20 different types of seabirds there. Egrets, ibis, roseate spoonbills - I have seen Eagles and hawks, parrots - every kind of bird in every color you can think of. And the shopping!!! I have gotten some excellent deals there. They even have a Chicago based Italian resturant there. It's beautiful. Oh, how I miss it there! I'm thinking about early December. I prefer January but my daughter will be in school and she would never forgive me if I went without her. New Year's is nice - they do a fabulous fireworks display over the ocean by Naples Pier (in the pictures above).
