I'm writing this letter to Signor Antonio Di Meo the Mayor of Acquafondata Prov. Frosinone, in the hope he will be able to help me trace any decendents still living there. I would be very grateful if someone would translate it for me. this is what I want to say:

Dear Signor Di Meo
My ancestors were born in Acquafondata, their surname was De Filippis.
I am trying to find out if any of their/my decendents still live in Acquafondata.
My Ancestors:
My grandfather: GiovanniBattista De Filippis born in Sant'Elia Fiumerapido 11/6/1853. He married Francesca Bastianielli

My G.Grandfather: Domenico De Filippis born Acquafondata approx 1831 he married Maria Guiseppa Fionda

My G.G.Grandfather: Luigi De Filippis born in Acquafondata approx 1780 married Domenica Cascarino in 1823

My G.G.G.Grandfather: Giovanni Battista De Filippis born Acquafondata (he died 5/9/1821 age 66 yrs)married Teresa Gagliardi

My G.G.G.G.Grandfather: Cesare De Filippis married Benedetta Colleta

(My G.G.Grandfather, Luigi De Filippis had a brother Fortunato who married Palma Venzi, another brother Raffaele and a sister Angela who married Arcangelo Caira)

On birth and death records I have it states they all lived at Strada della Porta in Acquafondata.
I would be very grateful for any help/advice you could give me.

Thanking you in anticipation
Yours sincerly

I know its a lot to ask but I'll be ever so grateful if someone can help translate this for me.

Emmy

Gentile Signor Di Meo
I miei antenati erano:
Giovanni Battista De Filippis (mio nonno), nato in Sant'Elia Fiumerapido l'11 giugno 1853; sposò Francesca Bastianelli

Cordialmente

* I think you give the Mayor too much info. To find out possible descendants I think that 2 or 3 generations are enough. I think that he never will start a research beginning from 1780 or even earlier. Obviously this is only my guess.
L.
