Hi,

I have received a written transcript of my 4 x Great-Grandfathers' death record from 1850 in Pescaglia (Lucca Province).

I can translate most of it.

The bit I would like help with is where it says:

"di Sant'Anna, Fiorentina."

Is this trying to say that he was born in that town, or is it trying to say that is where he was residing at the time of death?

I know he had children that were born in Stazzema, Lucca Province, and his younger brother and sisters were also born in Stazzema. I assumed Iacopo was also born in Stazzema (although I had no documentation to confirm this).

He moved to Pescaglia, probably in the 1820's.

If he was born in Sant'Anna, Fiorentina - where exactly is it, and also are there records available from that town (1700's).

Thanks,

Darin (Newcastle, England)
