I had a link to a web site that gave a list of all the ports in the UK where people sailed from, some to USA other to Australia and Newzealand etc and I was able to find some manifests too.
I thought it was on one of Stephen P.Morse's sites but I've searched for hours and cant find it.
Please, anyone out there able to help
a very frustrated Emmy kiss

Hi Em,

Don't know if this is it or not but it does have some good information

www.theshipslist.com/R...source.htm

If this isn't it, when you find the one you use, would you mind posting it?

kiss

Many Thanks Elizabeth and Nuccia for those links. I'll go through them one by one unfortnately at this moment none of them 'rings a bell' - but that's not surprising because at this moment I'm beginning to believe that MY 'bell' has lost its 'clapper' Wink

The annoying thing is probably if I hadnt sat and thought about it I would probably have found what I was looking for!!! Sad Embarassed
if I do find it I will certainly post it for you Elizabeth.

Many many thanks for your help
Emmy kiss kiss

FOUND WHAT I HAD LOST
with a bit help from Steven Morse Very Happy

It kept coming into my head that it was on one of his web pages that I had found the list of British Ports so I emailed him and got a very quick reply.

You go to White Form go down to 'PORT' choose Region:British Isles then choose country: Scotland England Ireland or Wales.
There is another 'box' that says 'port' and if you have chosen Scotland then the list of all the Scottish ports are shown.

Bit a big thanks for all those other links you posted for me
