That's my Bruno. And look Nuccia, you were wondering why he never used Bruce. Here it is.

Paul,

Thank you! However did you find this?

It's amazing! Thank you!

Happy to help. Very Happy
When I saw the family living in Erie County in 1930, I decided
to go through the 1920 census in the same area, one page at a time.
99 pages and guess where it was, page 98.
The area is actually referred to as Depew Villiage in the Lancaster Township.

Thanks to Nuccia for making the information available where you can read it and to Mary, for her good research and clues,
and especially to you, Bridget, for being interested in your family history.

Everyone stay safe this Holiday Season,
Paul

Paolo - you are such a sweetheart! Thank you for joining us and always being willing to help! I've been going through the 1925 census page by page as well. Looks like the family pretty much stayed within a block each time they moved. Hopefully I can find them there. Love being home and being able to research again - it's been much too long.

Hugs and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Bridget,

A couple of suggestions. Have you thought of contacting the funeral home (if it still exists) for Bruno's information. His parents might be named in the death record.

The other thought I had is that his parents might be Giovanna and Giuseppe. If he followed the naming tradition, the first daughter was named after his mother, the second daughter after his wife's mother, and the first son after his father -- it would fit in perfectly with the sequence that Bruno's children were named.

Mary

I'm sorry, I have been off line for the past 24 hours. I hosted a family Xmas party yesterday for 50 people.

Paul, Mary & Nuccia,

How can I ever thank you enough? I am humbled by your support. 98 pages! I honestly do not have words adequate to thank all of you.

Mary,
Funny that you suggest contacting the funeral home. I called and they thought I was nuts. Needless to say, they do not have the records. I do have the death certificate for Bruno. His parents are listed as Joseph and Joanna.

Merry Xmas! Thank you a million times for your help.

Hello! Hope everyone is well. I'm ready to find some answers. Wink

I am still waiting for the FHC to let me know that they have received the films I ordered in December. I'm learning that this process takes a great deal of patience.

Paul, I know you found Bruno's obit. Can you give me some tips on how to locate other obits?

Bridget

Also, I found Bruno's social security number. Is this useful?

Thanks!

Not sure if you can still order a copy of his social security application but if you can if may include info about his parents names and perhaps place of births so yes, it could be helpful!
