Joni have you tried looking on the Cosenza Archive site? Another option would be to write away to the Comune (Town Hall) in Lago and see what they might have. You can request Domenico Marco's birth act which should list his parents names.

I did see your tree on ancestry as well as another tree which has the mother's name listed as Chiara Perri. You might want to follow up with that as well - there are three pages of Chiara Perri on the Cosenza site.

Hope this helps.

Dear Nuccia, Thanks so much for you help truly you are a great gentleman, the problem is that on the Paternal Abate side I have been able to trace them back to the 1700's. I am looking for those on the Materal side Domenico Marco Abates Wife whic would be Giosue's mother, which I think died in Philadelphia, but no proof of that. The only clue I have is tht Giosue and my grandmother named their first daughter Lucia, and my Aunt told me that they had attended a funeral of Giosue's mother who was almost a 4 foot tall person in Philadelphia, but they were not sure. Your clue to write is probably my best bet, she is my missing link to finding the rest of the story. And with my children moving to Italy, it would be nice to visit their homes, etc. Thanks again for your help, Joni
