Help, We know there are Cupertino's in the area, how are we to know if they are related to John and Anna. They had 3 sons Tony, Daniel and Lenard. I know 2 for sure came to the US around 1920 that being Tony and Daniel. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Very Happy

Not sure from your query if you are researching in Italy or the US, but here is something you can do.
Go to a Family History Center near you and rent the film with the civil records from Sammichele di Bari for the years you are looking for.
You can find a center near you.... familysearch.org/locations

Also, From some manifests.....Is this the family??? John (b abt 1865) married to Anna Urbano with ties to Arkansas. Is Spinella a family name?
Were the sons born in the late 1890's? More information would help.

Paul

Thanks for helping - more info that I know of. My grandfather was born to John and Anna( not sure of spelling Urban) in St.Michele , Italy on May 22nd 1901. Had two brothers Tony and Leonard. Daniel or Donato came to the U.S. on the ss. Madonna in 1920 thru Ellis island N.Y. Want to know if I have cousins or relatives still living in Italy? Donato became a citizen of the U.S. In 1939. Had 9 sons and one daughter most born in milwaukee ,wi. My dad was the 6th son born in 1934.

I did find a family history center close by. Thanks, again

Take a look at the Italian phone book and write to these Cupertino family members.

Hope this helps,
Paul
