I am looking for any information about my Great grandfathers family he came from St Elia Fiumerapido. He came to England with his brother - but his brother returned to Italy and then after a while travelled to the US. My great grand fathers name was Inncenzio Barilone and he married Julietta Tudda. They had quite a few children. My grandfather was the third eldest his name was Angelo Barilone.
I have found a few names Guiseppe Barilone, Francesco Barilone and Rosa Barilone. But I would like to know if they were part of my family.

I am also trying to find more about my great grandmothers family Julietta Tudda - she was born in Castilligone ( I really appologies if the spelling is incorrect). She came to the UK with her sister Marianna. If anyone has any information I would be very happy as I am finding it difficult to find more info.

Many thanks!

Hi Angel
I have most of the films at the Family History Centre that have the records for births deaths and marriages for Sant'Elia Fiumerapido but I have never come across the surnames Barlione or Tudda.
If you dont have any idea of the age/dates when they left Italy etc it would be very difficult to find information.
Do you have any idea of the year (approx) when they first arrived in the UK?
Emmy

Hi! Yes, I know that my Great grandfather - Innucenzio Barilone arrived in the UK in 1887 and my Great grandmother who was born in Castilligoni arrived in the UK in 1888. They were married here in the UK in the year 1890.

Hi Angel
I just remembered I had recorded the death records for 1860 1861 and 1862. So here's the information for that part.

!860 Giuseppe Barilone
died 24/8/1860 age 2 days old
Father: Nicola Barilone
Mother: Carmina Fallone

1861 Francesco Barilone
died 18/10/1861 age 1 year old
Father: Giovanni Barilone
Mother: Angelina Cascarino

1862 Rosa Barilone (maiden surname)
died 12/3/1862 age 30 years
Father: Fu Michele ('fu' means her father was already dead when she had died)
Mother : 'fu' Rosea Vettraino ('fu'- same meaning as above)
Rosa was a widow when she died and her late husband's name was Rocco Capraro

Wont know if any of them are connected in any way until we other records but it doesnt seem they are the same family.
Emmy

I've posted this on your post in Central Italy too just in case you missed it but I've explaind on that other post its better to stick to ? and answers on the one thread so maybe the one in Central Italy would be better Very Happy Emmy

I just wish I had a name of someone to connect, It's so difficult as I only have the name of the place where My great gand father was born. Were there many Barilone's living in St Elia at that time?? I wonder if any of these people were related to him?

Thank you Emmy for helping me. Is there any other way I can find out about his mother and father etc?

Hi,

I now have my great grandfathers (Innucenzio Barilone) and great grandmothers (Giulietta Tudda) wedding certificate (a copy) It confirms that there was a Francisci Barilone who had written his name as a witness. He was here in the UK for the wedding, but he must have returned to Italy. Have you noticed this name in any of the Birth or Death records?

Innucenzio was born in 1866 so if Francisci was his brother he must have been born somewhere around this date either before or after, maybe.

I would very much ppreciate your help. Please, please.

Kindest thoughts,

Angel (Maria)
