That's a great document you have there Cathy - apart from the modern on in my village, it's the first one I've seen... Now I want to find the one that includes my house - part of which, the old stable (now the ground floor), dates back, so I'm told, to the early 1500's.

In effect the Catasto is the Land Registry of a Comune.

The Castati would be great to have. Would I request a specific year or a spread of years? It would be a great help in finding brothers and or sisters of my great, great grandfather. In particular, that may be a way to make a connection here in the US with other family groups.
