L'anno 1882, addi 12 di Gennaio a ore 12,05 nella Casa Comunale.
Avanti di me Pietro Cardinale Sindaco ed Ufficiale dello Stato Civile del Comune di Lecara è comparso Rescigno Antonio di anni 35, (Job ??), domiciliato in Lecara, il quale mi ha dichiarato che alle ore p.m. 10,00 del di 11 del corrente mese, nella casa posta in Via Sant'Anna al nr. 2, da Angela Catalano sua moglie seco lui convivente è nato un bambino di sesso femminile che egli mi presenta e a cui dà il nome di Giuseppa.
A quanto sopra e a quest'atto sono stati presenti quali testimoni Nicolò Pinello(!) di anni 30, bracciale, Xxx Antonino, di anni 34, bracciale, entrambi residenti in questo Comune.
Letto il presente atto a tutti gli intervenuti mi sono io sottoscritto col dichiarante avendo detto i testimoni di non saper scrivere.

Thank you Luca. I was hoping there would be an age mentioned for Angela. I might add, my aunt Josie had always listed her year of birth as 1883. I guess many women did this.
