I'm looking for information on the marriage of my grandparents. They are both from marcellinara, italy and family stories has my grandfather going back to italy to marry my grandmother. Their names were Luigi Panzino (born 12/10/1895) and Rachael Scerbo(born in 1907). The marriage had to be between 1902, when Luigi came to the U.S. and 1927 when Rachael came over. I would appreciate any information you can give me. I'm at a dead end where these relatives are concerned. If you have any other on them I would be deeply greatful. Thanks for your help.

Looking at Luigi WW1 Draft registration cards and it claims he was single in 1917 so the marriage took place after then so I decided to look for another manifest of him arriving back to the US which I found.

In 1926, he was already a US Citizen and made a trip back claiming married as his status. The marriage most likely took place just before then but after the war. I would write to the Comune in Marcellinara and ask them to do a search for the marriage between 1920 - 1926.

New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957 about Luigi Panzino
Name: Luigi Panzino
Arrival Date: 9 Nov 1926
Birth Year: abt 1895
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Port of Departure: Naples, Italy
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Ship Name: Conte Biancamano
Search Ship Database: Search the Conte Biancamano in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database

I'll keep looking...

Hello Nuncia and bah195, Very Happy
Another thing to do if bah195 hasn't done this..... Go to the Family History Center and rent the film containing
the birth record for Luigi. Many times the marriage information is added to the birth act.
