I searched the forums and didn't find anything on this particular topic. Are there any online resources where one can find Italian censuses. I am particularly interested in 1911 and 1921.

If not, I will check to see if the Family History Library has them on microfilm. They haven't been indexed on Family Search yet in their new database if they do have them.

As a last resort, I'll just head to Italy this year and do some searching. LOL

Thanks in advance!

Wendy as far as I know they have not been filmed for most of the Italian comuni. I think Riccardo or Jim would be the best people to answer this.

Thanks Nuccia. Looks like I'll have to travel a bit. Wink

Dear Wendy, if you are looking for infos about your ancestors, for the 1911 and 1921 census,
you can directly write, only in italian, to the anagrafe (population record office) of the town where
your ancestors used to live. If there is nothing there, you can try to contact Rome Central State Archive,
it should have papers from Ministery of Interior.
I hope it helps
bye Riccardo
