Welcome Peter! Did your family come from Catanzaro the city or the Province of Catanzaro? Do you have any approximate birth dates?
I used a search engine for your surname and did not find anyone with the surname Zannino in the city of Catanzaro today. But found this:
# Comune Province
29.60 Crotone Crotone
24.31 Pazzano Reggio Calabria
23.28 Monasterace Reggio Calabria
22.86 Placanica Reggio Calabria
15.18 Caulonia Reggio Calabria
7.95 Cutro Crotone
7.29 Bivongi Reggio Calabria
5.98 Crucoli Crotone
5.46 Stignano Reggio Calabria
5.36 Roccella Ionica Reggio Calabria
3.47 Isola di Capo Rizzuto Crotone
3.10 Rossano Cosenza
3.08 Sorianello Vibo Valentia
3.01 Rende Cosenza
2.97 Stilo Reggio Calabria
2.95 Campo Calabro Reggio Calabria
2.93 Marina di Gioiosa Ionica Reggio Calabria
2.92 Serra San Bruno Vibo Valentia
2.90 Marcellinara Catanzaro
2.90 Locri Reggio Calabria
2.79 Riace Reggio Calabria
2.76 Guardavalle Catanzaro
2.75 Soverato Catanzaro
2.63 Grotteria Reggio Calabria
2.46 Sant`Ilario dello Ionio Reggio Calabria

In your grandfather's time the provinces of Crotone and Vibo Velentia did not exist - they were part of Catanzaro province. I have bolded the possible towns he may have come from. Anything look familiar?

Immigration information possibly your family?
Name came from age birth year arrival in US
Zannino, Rocco Pazzano 37 1867 1904
Zannino, Rocco Pazzano, 24 1888 1912
Calabria
Zannino, Rocco Placanico, 29 1880 1909
Reggio
Zannino, Cosimo Canlaccia 30 1882 1912
Unfortunately, Ellis Island has the wrong manifest linked on it's site to Cosimo's record. Perhaps someone else here can link a copy from Ancestry. (I do not have an Ancestry subscription)
I cannot find a town named Canlaccia in the province??

Peter,
Do you have approximate birthdates for Rocco and Cosimo? And possibly approximate emigration dates?

Cathy,
Canlaccia--a mistranscription of Caulonia? U mistaken as an N and the U as CC?

Biff

I am having a bit of difficulty finding ship records to Australia without an arrival city. Do you know where in Australia your grandfather entered that country?

I forgot to mention that a lot of the Zanninos I found came from PAZZANO (RC), which does appear in the list that Cathy posted a few posts back... There are currently 9 Zanninos listed in Pazzano (RC) in Pagine Bianche
