My name is Nico Procaccini. I joined Gente to help me further my search of my Italian ancestry. I have had some success tracking my paternal grandfather's family back to Panni, Foggia. I have found the names of numerous relatives both in the US and in Italy. Panni is a town of about 1000 inhabitants and there are only a few surnames for the entire community. It seems that virtually everyone is related. The family names that I have in my ancestry are Senerchia, Colannino, DeCotis, Bisaccia, Calitri, Manuppelli and of course Procaccini. to "Gente". I'm so pleased you made it... you'll like it here I'm sure!

Listen up folks - Nico has some wonderful documents that he wants help translating and I convinced him to let us do it here on "Gente" - right Nico?

They look really interesting and he said he would post them one at a time - that way everyone can follow (and learn) from them.

So it's down to you now Nico - can't wait for you to post the first one(s) for us to get our teeth into!

Carole, sorry i misunderstood you. i thought you were going to post the documents, but i ok i will do it, with a little help. how do i get them on the site for others to read?

Hi Nico and welcome to Gente.

There are a few different ways of attaching/linking records here. One way is to click on the Add an Attachment feature located directly below the post you are making. Then it will bowse your PC for the file (just like adding and attachment to an email.).

Another way is to use an uploading service such as imageshack.us/ or photobucket.com/.

you would save the image to your Hard Drive and then use the browse feature to upload the file. You will then me given a list of choices of of links to chose from to post the document.

I will be around for a bit so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Smile

No problem..I will add them soon. I have been taking a bit of a break and working on some other things lately but I will be back to updating the database in a few weeks.
