I was given a graphics tablet as a present a while ago and I'm just about tearing my hair out trying to get it to work. Being computer illiterate I've no idea what all the symbols are along the top or what the numbers without illustrations next to them refer to down each side . Numbers go from 1-29.
My daughter installed it for me and I have connected it to my usb port and the blue light flashes as it says it should but when I put the pen to the screen nothing happens I've even changed the battery and the nib point and that has made no difference.the model is a Medion usb graphics tablet. and I've been on their web site but couldnt find any explantion I could understand. There's very little written instructions given with the tablet.
Now if it had been the other type of TABLET they had given me I would have managed that no bother because all I would have had to do then was put it in my mouth but this one it seems I've to use my brain??? this is why I'd be really grateful if someone could explain how to work this in simple terms.
Thank you for reading this even if you cant help
but a big XX if you can.

Hi Emmy,

I don't think I can provide directions, but you might want to do a Google search so you can look at the manufacturer's site as there might be a downloadable instruction manual (the website may also be printed on the product documentation or packaging) ....there might also be a "forum" that discusses the use of the product.....I hope one of these approaches might help you get some additional info

Whats the name of the table emmy? Not sure I even know what it is but if I see it or hear a name maybe it will ring a bell.

Hi Emmy,

I think Medion is a British company which has an exclusive with Aldi Stores.

Did your graphic tablet come with software? It sounds like the hardware is installed ok (tablet itself) but you will need to open the associated software to use the tablet.

Mark,
ill and cold

Thanks everyone for your helpI have already looked on line re the company for guidlines and instructions but its only the same information that's in the booklet. I have also searched on line for a forum but me being me I found a site then immediatley lost it and cant find it again. I have now found a telephone number for a helpline but they certainly know how to charge per minute but I know they have to pay their employees Its just it doesnt seem right that they dont enclose more specific information with the goods but there again they probably wouldnt expect someone with my intellegence re todays technology to get this in a present or to buy it. BUT I'm NOTgiving up I'll have another go at installing it from scratch again.
Mark you said

I think that is where they did purchase it from. (Mark I hope you are feeling better and a bit warmer too- That's been some terrible weather we've been having here isnt it!! Sun is shining here though today but its still cold.)
If I dont have any luck installing it again then I will phone the helpline before I lose that number too.
One question -your thoughts about this- should I have the tablet usb connection connected into the computer BEFORE I begin to install the programmes?
Thanks again
Emmy xx

Thanks for the links tbjrn I've put them onto my favourites meantime and I'll read them one by one.
The latest news is I phoned their help line today and got great help from one of the staff who then put me through to the technician after I explained what was happening he thinks it is a fault in the product and is sending me out a postage lable so I can send it back to them free of charge and they will replace this one with a brand new one- hopefully with a few more instructions but I must add the helpline staff were really good.

I did notice that on one of the links you sent it says you need to install Macro Key Manager to use this device ?????
I think they should post the technician along with the new graphic tablet- now that would be excellent service!! Wink Wink Wink

Thanks for all the help given I'll let you know what happens he reckons I should receive the replacement within 10/12 days.
