Hello everyone, would you be so kind as to assist me again.
I have been very busy collecting documents from all the info you have supplied me and from the free military records on Ancestry. I finally stoped to assess my collection and realized that I have not found a single document on my maternal great grandparents, Cecilia D'Amato and Sebastiano Terranova. My mother, who was named after her grandmother, stated that when she was born in 1922 Cecilia came to the US. I am not sure if Sebastiano came with her. My family is sure that she/they returned to Italy. Estimated their of birth years around 1850 to 1860's. Searching Ellis Island records with no success. Looking to see if they still resided in Sant Arsenio in the 1920's. Would be greatful for any leads.
I was searching the IG forum today and found that some of you assisted another cousin with the Ciuccio/Cucci family! This is my Paternal Grandmother's family, Stefanina Cucci, needless to say, I was thrilled.

While going over WWI draft registration cards I noted that Giuseppe and Antonio Terranova were registered on the same day Sept 12, 1918, as well as Peter and Louis Terranova. All were from divisions 6 or 7 Jersey City. Were they all required/directed to register on a specific day?

I believe the registration spread over three dates based on year of birth. Its possible they went together.

Thats why there are three different formats of WW1 Draft Card Registrations..

Having trouble loading ancestry but I will try and link the different cards here as soon as I gt on there.

Ok...here are the different registration cards..

a1356.g.akamai.net/f/1...tCardA.pdf

a1356.g.akamai.net/f/1...tCardB.pdf

a1356.g.akamai.net/f/1...tCardC.pdf

Hope this helps some. Ancestry is very slow today. Perhaps because of the free Military records they are offering.

"The World War I draft consisted of three separate registrations.

First Registration. The registration on 5 June 1917, was for men aged twenty-one to thirty-one—men born between 6 June 1886 and 5 June 1896.

Second Registration. The registration on 5 June 1918, was for men who had turned twenty-one years of age since the previous registration—men born between 6 June 1896 and 5 June 1897. Men who had not previously registered and were not already in the military also registered. In addition, a supplemental registration on 24 August 1918, was for men who turned twenty-one years of age since 5 June 1918.

Third Registration. The registration on 12 Sept 1918, was for men aged eighteen to twenty-one and thirty-one to forty-five—men born between 11 Sept 1872 and 12 Sept 1900."

Carol:
Nuccia has posted a manifest I saw earlier today. (Thanks Nuccia!) This manifest also shows this Sebastiano coming to America with a daughter, Maria. ( I know it's a bit hard to read). Very possible this could be our GGFather.

Thanks you Nuccia and Biff: as always you have been very gratious.
Now understand why all four men registered on the same day. Not sure if Peter and Louis are siblings to Antonio and Giuseppe, however, Peter was born 1881 living at 27 Giles Ave and Louis born 1883 lived at 222/202 Sip Ave. just down the road from Giuseppe and Antonio. There is also a Samuel born in Sant'Arsenio in 1890. Still waiting for Sant' Arsenio to respond to my request for the family history.
Thank you for the info on Sebastiano and Maria. Mom believes that Sebastiano and Cecilia did not reside in the US but she does get confused! Barb, do you have docs on Cecelia D'Amato? know your have spelled her name using an S instead of a C.
