I just got the processcetti of my great great great grandparents Luigi Napolitano and Maria Rosaria Rua. I already know Luigi's parents are Antonio Napolitano and Anna Filippo. I have no information on Anna Filippo's family. I assume this is Luigi's church baptism record. What I would like to know is any information on Anna Filippo, her age, her parents and if it lists Luigi's Godparents. I am also interested to know if it lists Luigi's grandmother's name (wife of Raffaele). Thanks.
Luigi Napolitano

I believe this is Maria Rua's baptism. I having nothing on her family so any information is really appreciated!
Maria Rua

That's right. Moreover the godfather was Antonio Zingoni, son of Gaetano.

Maria Rosaria was baptized on April 2th, her grandfather's name was Gaetano and the godfathers were Gennaro di Blasi and Rosaria Di Lio.

WOW! That's great! Thanks Livio and Luca! Very Happy I find it very interesting how these names have changed. Later documents list Anna as Filippo not di Filippo. This is the first time I have seen Di Blasi too. Blasi is the surname I know. Now I know I should be looking for Di Filippo's too. And Antonio Zingoni (the surname should be Zingone I think but in Argentina it is Zingoni...interesting...maybe it was Zingoni all along!) son of Gaetano is great too! It gives me information I needed for the family Antonio & Anna's daughter married into (and many families in Argentina too). Antonio Zingone was her father in law. I wish it listed his wife! This gave me a lot...thanks again! party

Sorry Cathy, but i was at work when i answered to you and so i gave the photos a quick view: you are right, the surname is Zingone and not Zingoni.
About the surname Blasi: Blasius is the latin form for Biagio and in the case called "genitivo" it is written Blasi, that means "di Biagio" (in the sense of son of Biagio). But it was common to call a man which name was Biagio also Blasio, so in a period in which the surnames were not fixed at 100% it's possible to see a form like "Di Blasi" that is a sort of mix between italian and latin.
