I got an email from your Internet Provider today. Seems they want me to check to see if the forum is blocking your IP! I guess we're back to square one. When I get back from the FHC this afternoon I will try and see if we can fix this problem from our end. Meanwhile, not sure what to suggest!

Scusa se ti rispondo in italiano: se c'è qualcosa che non riesci a capire fammi sapere.
L'altro giorno (quando ho contattato il provider) ho detto che avevo quel problema soltanto con il forum di Gente; loro mi hanno chiesto di effettuare un tracert (tracciatura del passaggio tra i vari server prima di arrivare al tuo) e di inviare loro il risultato, poi ieri mi hanno risposto dicendo che ti avrebbero scritto una mail (io ho detto loro che ti avevo già avvertito, ma si vede che è una prassi!).
Però, su consiglio dell'operatrice, ho richiesto un IP pubblico a tempo (puoi richiederlo anche solo per un'ora) e il mio IP è cambiato e mi sono connesso a Gente senza problemi. A quel punto ho disattivato l'IP pubblico e (NON sono sicuro, devo controllare) FORSE mi hanno riassegnato (automaticamente) un altro IP (diverso dal primo) e non ho più problemi.
Stasera a casa controllo il nuovo IP e vedo se è diverso.

Sorry if I answer in Italian: if there is something that I can't seem to understand explain to me.
The other day (when I contacted my provider) I said that I had that problem only with the Gente foru; they asked me to run a trace (tracing the passage between the various servers before arriving at yours) and to send them the result, then yesterday they replied saying that they would write an email (I told them that I had notified you, but it seems that this is the usual procedure!)
However, on the advice of the operator, I asked for a timed public IP (you can even ask for one fo just an hour) an my IP was changed and I connected to Gente without problems. At that point I disactivated the public IP and (I'm NOT certain, I need to check) MAYBE they have (automatically) given me another IP (diffrerent from the first) and I now have no more problems.
This evening at home I will check the new IP and see if it is different.
