I know that many of you have websites and must type headings or captions.
I found this site with a few free old world looking fonts. I just downloaded a few.

I loooove fonts!
Then only thing about writing anything with what I call "fancy" fonts in any website is that unless your viewers already has the font you used [to make your website look nice] in their computer, they will be seeing whatever default font the website has.
Normally, I use fonts to make written text "images" [.gifs and/or .jpgs], with the help of my graphics' software, and upload that to the website that way people will see what you intend for them to see... I hope that makes sense...
Liz

I know. You have to use them in a jpg, not directly on the site.

Thanks Liz, I didn't know that. I had been testing different fonts for my families website and I'll keep this in mind.

The fonts can be used if you are..say writing something..like lists of names..or a story (on your computer) and then saving it and uploading it to the site. They arent good to write straight into the html, because then if people dont have that font..they see the writing in a substitute font, then.
I have this Italian cursive font that someone sent me years ago. I put all of my copied documents from the fhl into an album, in those archical quality sleeves. I made little slips of paper, with the names and dates on them, and slipped them on to each page. I used the Italian font on things like that.
I liked some of these fonts better.
