I am stuck

Good Morning to everyone!!
I have whittled my way back in time but I am now stuck in the mud. I am researching Luigi Biagini born abt. 1838 from San Michele di Moriano, Lucca.
I have written and emailed two churches in the area. NADA. No reply from either. Any ideas on how to extract further information?
I so appreciate any information.

Have you tried the Family History Center (Mormon Church) Library microfilm? Depending on the Comune they have films beginning in 1809 for Births (NATI), Deaths (MORTE) and Marriages (MATRAMONIO) thru 1910:

Check their website for the library nearest to your home; you can rent the microfilms and use them in their library to find pertinent records. Some of the records are now online, but the project to convert all their docs to digital format is an ongoing project.
