Giuseppe PIAZZA and Rosaria AGRUSA marriage record

Dear friends,
I need help.
I have my great grandmother Rosaria AGRUSA birth records (she was born in Trappeto, province of Palermo on 17th August 1835), that document states an annotation she got married in Mazzara (Mazara del Vallo, province of Trapani) with her husband Giuseppe PIAZZA on Nov 16th, but I don't know if that was on 1885 or 1889.

Both years have been checked by my dad and my friend the genealogist Rosario Salone , at Trapani State Archive, and nothing was found
Maybe it can be read as 1887?
Is there anyone who has microfilms of Mazara del Vallo civil registration on a permanent loan to nearest FHL? Maybe a search between 1880 and 1889 would be worth?
Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated

Effettivamente l'anno sembra 1885; però devi ammettere che è strano che si sia sposata a 50 anni (a meno che non si tratti di un secondo matrimonio). C'è inoltre quell'annotazione apposta per errore che fa ritenere che non è che fossero così precisi nel compilare i registri! Immagino che tu abbia anche le date di nascita dei suoi figli: prova a fare un confonto per vedere quale può essere l'anno più probabile.

Luca, si sono sposati in ritardo, è una lunga storia, l'ufficiale dello stato civile di Balestrate-Trappeto mi dice che la seconda annotazione è un errore.Pensi che sia 1885? 1887? o 1889?
L'unico figlio che i due ebbero era nato nel 1870 a Balestrate

L'anno, secondo me, è 1885. Il luogo sembra Mazzara (anche se è scritto Mozzora). In base a quante Parrocchie ci sono a Mazzara, potresti anche provare a far controllare (da quel tuo amico che abita giù) se si trovano i registri parrocchiali (anche se è strano che non ci sia l'atto nei registri dello Stato Civile). Dici che hanno provato all'Archivio di Stato: perché non fai controllare anche allo Stato Civile del Comune di Mazzara? (magari puoi anche provare con una telefonata, visto che hai la data precisa magari l'impiegato ti controlla al momento). In più all'anagrafe di Mazzara dovrebbero avere anche i decennali dei matrimoni: se l'impiegato non lo trova alla data del 16.11.1885 può provare nel decennale che va dal 1880 al 1890 e magari salta fuori.

Grazie per il consiglio Luca, al limite aspettero Luglio quando andrò in ferie, magari qualche amico del forum ha i microfilm in "permanent loan" presso la locale chiesa mormone, qui a Trento il microfilm arriva dopo 100 giorni!!!

I'll email my FHC tomorrow and see if they can send me a copy of the films they have on permanent loan. Sometimes we get lucky that way.

I already sent a request a couple of months ago along with the certificate of $ 4 (remember?) and they didn't answer me yet, a couple of days ago I sent an email to FHL and they don't answer.
