Gente di Mare reunion in USA

Dear friends,
while talking to Mike Savoca, we would like seriously try to set up a Gente di Mare reuinion somewhere in USA, probably for the next year 2008.
Who would like to attend to it in order to meet each other? I and Mike are the first ones.
We were thinking about NY so we can also go for one day to Ellis Island!!
Any suggestion or idea about that?

As Riccardo said, we would really love to work that out. We should start to plan now so that way we can get this done. I can't wait to see you all, and you can skype me or pm/e-mail me. Lets get the weels turning.

Sounds like an amazing idea! I am about 3 hours drive from NYC (to the north) I would love to meet all of you in person, and also I have never been to Ellis Island. Let's try and make this a reality!

I REALLY HOPE THIS DREAM WILL COME TRUE!

You can't imagine 'how much' I would love to come over there. But I fear that isn't ever going to be possible any more.....
(It's not the money, but my health!)

But when you DO have the reunion you MUST promise to find an Internet Cafe and all speak to me on Skype!!!

What is the best month for everybody and for New York weather?

I just checked on Expedia for the period may and june 2008, a flight from Milan to JFK is about 500 euros (about 700 american dollars)
And including a place where to sleep here there are the details

Well.......I have been saving money for a trip to Talamello for next April or May......but New York would not be that much more........and I would LOVE to see Ellis Island......and all of you to.... Wink

Count me in........but can I bring one of my sons? That way I don't travel alone....he is also going to Italy with me!!!!

Lisa, now I know when you are coming next year to Italy.
Remember Talamello is not that far from Trento, 220miles , I would like to meet you so we can make researches, take pictures, I hope we can call suanj (Raffaella) or maybe she can come and meet us there in Talamello.

If this Talamello is the one near San Marino then it is 430 km (270 miles)
