I purchased this last week at B&N. Very interesting book having to do with World War 2, and how the allied forces realized the wealth of cultural artifacts (Paintings, writings , sculptures, Buildings) that were centuries old. They wanted to find ways to Catalogue, preserve and even save them. The group was called the Monument Officers.
