Livio

I went through all the transcribed records for England, Ireland and Scotland on this site and came up with nothing for James Drake (where he is buried)
ancestorsatrest.com/ce...y_records/

I have a few other sites to check and hopefully I'll find something.

For all the names listed.......what documents do you already have OR what documents are you looking for? I'll be happy to try and find whatever I can for you.

I only have an piece of paper, handwritten by my mother, listing all the names. Other info were obtained by interviewing relatives. And I have a Death Certificate for my grandmother, Corinna Drake.
That's all.

Here is the index entry to his marriage to Jane Moore:

Name: James Drake to Jane Moore
Year of Registration: March 1845
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: St Giles
County: London, Middlesex
Volume: 1

and then I found a little more details here:

Marriages Mar 1845
Drake James (District Bloomsbury) to Moore Jane Volume 1 Page 84

The district Bloomsbury is an alternative name for St Giles and it spans the boundaries of the counties of London and Middlesex;

The exiting thing about this marriage record (when you order it) is that it will list both the Groom and Bride's Father's names!!

Here is an example of an 1842 London Marriage record, the format is identical to what you will get with James Drake's marriage:

www.gowlland.net/Marri...wlland.JPG

and here is another (example) from 1848:

www.pask.org.uk/Matern...k-Bogg.jpg

Let me see what else I can find.

Essendo Corinna nata nel 1873 a Savona non dovrebbe essere difficile ottenere il suo estratto (o copia completa) di nascita. Hai già provato a richiederli?
Ciao
Luca

I have a copy of the Registry Book of Birth of my grandmother Corinna, from this document I was able to locate Liverpool as the birth place of my ggfather James.

The birth date in this document is Jan 8 1873, while I know for sure that she was born the 5th of January. This date is reported in the Estratto del registro degli Atti di morte and Corinna always claimed that she was born on the 5th.

Maybe I should ask for an estratto di nascita.

Direi proprio di si (chiedi comunque la copia integrale). E aggiungerei anche la copia dell'atto di matrimonio.

It will also tell you their residences at the time of marriage!

here is where to order it:

James, I am glad you posted this site. I have been needing several documents for another branch of my tree and this is tremendous.

I am sure Livio will be happy with this site as well.

I like the "Scan and Send" Option, you could have it in half the time!

That is a great option. When you don't need something certified that works great. I am trying it today.

Thanks again,
lilbees

But the certificates from the British Government Records Office (GRO) only cost £7.00, and the 'turnround' time is the same... So these seem quite expensive IMHO!

Sorry Livio,
You do have to register with them to navigate and search fully. It is free:

you can do so on this certificate ordering page too....
