the document to which this one referred is as follows:

Notary Alfonso Mazzacane of Cerreto Sannita, 11 JUN 1669, p.30: Virgilia Guerra, widow of the late Domenico Pacelli and her daughter Caterina Pacelli wife of Giovanni Antonio Cofrancesco.

i am not sure if this domenico pacelli was a son of my direct relative mattia pacelli. mattia's second wife marzia magnati.

as with the other one i am not sure what it describes. luca - i'd be grateful if you could get the gist of this one as well. thanks.

here are the 4 pages of the first document referenced by the one posted previously. evidently there is a connection between the two. hopefully it will shed some light on my pacelli family from the 1600's.

thanks to nuccia and luca for helping with this, it is appreciated.

Ciao

Luca

grazie luca.

for those following my efforts....the second set of documents is fairly difficult to read and only parts of the sentences can be understood. so the fragments don't make much sense by themselves. from the second document luca does not think it likely that this domenico is a son of mattia, but if related at all perhaps a brother or cousin given the age of his children in the first document. they are listed as minors (under 18) in 1669 meaning they were born sometime after 1650.

but....i do know that mattia was married to his first wife in 1626. based on church census records he was married to this second wife sometime after 1634 and before 1649 ( the date of the first church census i have for him). from the second church census in 1654 he had a couple of young (less than 5 years of age) children listed so it is possible that this domenico is a son . however, it appears that there will be no proof to support this conclusion and i can only add this information to my largest family tree file ---suspected but not confirmed.

thanks nuccia and luca.

Hello Tommaso,

I am interested to know more about the notary records. Do you have all the records or do you know anyone who may assist me in obtaining information from these records?

My ancestors lived in Cerreto Sannita up until around 1730s. I was able to access the church records while I lived there in 2009 and trace my tree back to the early 17th century. Some of my ancestors' surnames in Cerreto include : Linfante, De Luca, Carlo/Ciarlo, Ciamburro, Ciarlello, Vennito, Perlulli and Iannicelli.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!
Jason
