I'm having trouble reading what the notation says in the margin of this borth act for Pietro Angilletta. Can anyone help?

Nuccia, it says "Visto e verificato pel secondo quadrimestre oggi 11 ottobre 1896", it does not refer to Pietro's birth act but to the entire book register that was checked and verified on October 11 1896.

Here's another one I am having trouble with: it doesn't mention a mother's name but I don't understand what it does say. Can someone help?

the mother of Rocco Vincenzo was an unmarried woman, that was not relative or in-law of Vincenzo (the father) in a degree that would prevent the acknowledgement of the new born.

Thank you Livio. I had never seen one of these before - interesting.

Ciao

Ciao

Thanks Luca. I noticed this man had other children and none listed the wife's name so I think you may be correct. The same thing happened in my dad's family too. My grandparents were married in the Church but not in the Comune so my grandmother's name is missing from all the birth acts.
