this was one of the later emails he sent me, he also sent me the link to Doliwa coat of arms that my family is part of

I will send you more details next week.

In previous year I wrote article in Polish about one branch of Rykowski
family. It was published in "Aktywnosc kulturalno-oswiatowa mazowieckich
ziemian w XIX i XX wieku", Ciechanow 2007. (Cultural and Educational
Activity of Mazovian Landowners in 19th and 20th century).
The title of article - "Od drobnego rycerstwa do dojrzalego ziemianstwa.
Trzy fazy rozwoju bogdanskiego krza Rykowskich". (From Poor Knigts to
Active Landowners. Three Steps of Development of Rykowskis' Bogdany
Branch).

Pawel Rykowski who died in Dzierzega about 1680 married Elzbieta
Zembrzuska and had three son - Bartlomiej (your and my ancestor), Walerian
and Franciszek. Franciszek boughts Bogdany, Przasnysz district, estate,
and his descendats belonged to local high-society.
Descendants of Bartlomiej and Walerian possessed small manors in Dzierzga
and other neighbouring villages. However there were too many sons who
divided their land - that's why some of them moved to USA.
However descednats of Bartlomiej and Walerian still lives in
Dzierzega-Brzeczki and Dzierzega-Nadbory.
