No doubt you have all noticed how quiet it is at the moment here on "Gente". I have a distinct feeling that this is caused by the 'vacation period'...

I say this because on at least five other forums that I visit, the situation is identical. Very few posts, very few questions compared with other periods in the year. The main base of our membership come from the 'northern hemisphere' and so we are in full summer now (well not quite what we all used to know as summer) and the kids are on holiday. It's too nice to sit indoors at the 'puter' for more time than necessary and many of our members are actually 'away' on vacation (Lucky them!).

In fact this is borne out by my occasional visits to two sites in the 'southern hemisphere' (Australia and New Zealand) where for them the winter is almost over... they are still very busy. I must remember to check around Christmas time and see if they are quieter.


So - the word is - DON'T WORRY! This is a seasonal downturn - nothing more, nothing less. Our 'views' are still holding up despite a lack of questions. Once this period is over we'll have 'em banging at the doors again!
