This is an email response I received from the Palermo Archives.

In riscontro alla Sua richiesta, relativa all'oggetto, esperite opportune ed approfondite ricerche, si precisa quanto segue:
- relativamente a Rescigno Antonio e Rescigno Domenico, negli anni dal 1846 al 1850, non si è trovata alcuna notizia;
- notizie relative a Rescigno Domenico si sono trovate rinvenendo il certificato di nascita della figlia di lui: Rescigno Carolina nata a Sutera il 23.02.1899;
- si è potuto risalire così ad un minimo di storia su Rescigno Domenico che non è nato a Sutera ma a Rocca Piemonte, un comune in provincia di Salerno, egli si è sposato con Scandaliato Eugenia nata a Castrogiovanni, l'attuale Enna;
- oltre a Carolina Rescigno Domenico ha avuto un altro figlio : Rescigno Giuseppe che è nato a Castrogiovanni;
Dr. Claudio TORRISI

Prot.n°1028/28.34.07

Thank you so much.

With reference to your query, these are our findings:
- We did not find any news about Rescigno Antonio and Rescigno Domenico in the year from 1846 to 1850
- We found something about Rescigno Domenico after we found the birth act of his daughter Resigno Carolina, born in Sutera Feb 23 1899
- according to the above we have found a minimum of history about Rescigno Domenico who was born in Rocca Piemonte (Salerno province) and married Scandaliato Eugenia born in Castrogiovanni, this town is now called Enna.
- Rescigno Domenico had another son, Rescigno Giuseppe born in Castrogiovanni.
- Rescigno Giuseppe married Buzzanca Rosa, born in Sutera on Jan 14, 1901

We may send you only the birth certificate of Buzzanca Rosa, wife of Rescigno Giuseppe.

As far Rescigno Domenico is concerned you may refer to his birth town, Rocca Piemonte. You may also ask the Archivio di Stato di Enna to get info about Scandaliato Eugenia an Rescigno Giuseppe.

Hey, thanks Riccardo! As you well know, getting any information on the family has been very difficult. At least I now have a true pointer back to Roccapiemonte.
