The weekly Italian Lottery - Super Enalotto has now reached record proportions and is creating frenzied betting here...
>Italian Super Enalotto News<
The current 'roll-over' jackpot is €94 million! That is US$ 123,985,854 OR CAN$ 149,694,324 OR GB £73,006,809
What would YOU do if you won such a sum? And what would you do in the first 24 hours after actually receiving confirmation that you were indeed the ONLY winner?

We talked about this last night with my husband...
1. Quit my Job BEFORE even collecting the money.
2. Fly to Italy to meet Carole, and Riccardo and see my family. Crash Simy's place and drive her crazy for a while. I miss her. Then to Czechoslovakia to find hubby's family...
3. Take an Alaskan Cruise, visit Ellis Island and Colarado to see where my grandmother was born, and where my great grandfather lived.
4. Come home and try to remember where I left the kids
5. Sell the house and buy a real one with an office to hold all my research, a dishwasher which I need and a garage door opener (dammit..I would buy the garage too)
6. Buy my own server and give all my friends unlimited internet access
7. Plan a reunion for all of us to meet
9. Set up the best possible Trust funds for my children, nieces (who I miss very much .. Zia loves you girls where ever you are and I never stop thinking of you. Don't ever forget that.) and nephews. Pay off my brother's house. Move this to Number two position.
10. Donate, donate, donate to charities and purchase as many blankets for the homeless as I could.
11. Buy a newspaper and only write good things in it. The world is depressing enough as it is..I could care less if it lost money. If it made one person smile then it would so be worth it.
Mauro thank you! That is sooooo sweet of you.

You're coming to the reunion. I don't want to go to Chicago..too windy, and cold like here! Lets meet in the tropics someplace..or just buy an island with internet access and ..
Now I can't remember what I was doing...

I used to think about this all of the time..especially, when we had a big lottery like this, in NY and I made hubby buy over 20 dollars worth of tickets, which is more than his usual one or two.
The first thing I would do..is divide it by 4..one quarter for me..and the other 3 for my 3 kids.
I would also like to see all 21 of us take a family trip, someplace.
I would use some of my money on a bigger house..and someone to clean it...oh yeah, and cook.
And I would donate..first, to something that helps poor children and old people...and then...something to save abandoned animals.
I am sure if some miracle happened..and I won even a fraction of that money..I would find more ways to spend it...but for right now, I can only think of those things.

This is what I would do:
1.Starting to do research for FREE for everyone (I mean FOR EVERYONE)
2.Fly to Ellis Island, Lousiana to see my Nicholas gravesite, go to Toronto to meet Nuccia and Denise, to Chicago to meet Cathy,Marilyn and Eliza, to San Francisco to meet my first cousins and to put a flower at my uncle Francesco Paolo Bruno graveside
3.Move to Trapani and live there the rest of my life
4.Buy a new real house (not apartment) just across the street from the beach in Sicily
5.Buy a brand new FHL Center in Trapani and have all the microfilms from all over the world - as permanent loan -. It would have all the deivices, to be a progressive FHL, everything electronic and hi tech.
6. Reunion to Trapani for all the Gente people (I would buy airplane tickets for everyone and cover expenses at hotel)
7. Buy an apartment for my sister
8. Give a more comfortable life to my parents who are in their 60's and 70's
9. Opening a Genealogy school in Trapani
10. Donation, donation, donation
I wish all of this would come true.....

Fate bene a pensarci ora: dopo la vincita e con un infarto in corso sarebbe difficile essere lucidi
Good choice to think now at what use you'll do of that money: it must be hard to be clear-headed with an heart attack
