These links were sent to me by a friend--word a day sort of thing that you can add to your homepage which might be an interesting feature on family genealogy sites.

Very nice. Google is my login page..so I just added one of these. I also have one of those word translators..but, I have to set italian, each time. I would love one that was just for italian.

Eleven, I have the Google translator on my Windows Taskbar. Very handy! I also have it preset for Italian. Very helpful.

Forgot to add, I also placed the "World Clock" on my taskbar as well with my preferenced cities.

Is it blue and from world reference.com? I have looked for some way to get that stuck on italian/english..because thats what I used the most...only I dont see a way to do it. Whaty are you using and how do you set it to italian? I use mine often, since I began working on these italian records and having to choose italian out of the big list, drives me nuts.

I right clicked on the word Google Translate at the top right while it was already set for Italian to English. Then I selected "copy shortcut". I then pasted it on my desktop and then dragged it to my Taskbar.

I guess you must already have the Italian to English selection set before you do this.

I followed the same method when I copied the World Clock shortcut to my desktop and then to my taskbar.

We must have something different. I dont see the word google translate anywhere, not on the little program and not even on my entire google page. I use the igoogle, that I can setup however I want it.

Try this link:

translate.google.com/t...e_t?hl=en#

After it is open, then follow what I suggested.

Eleven, for "World Clock" you need to register (free) then log in and set up what you want you personal clock to be.

Here is that link:

I see..this is a whole page. I tried to do what you said but I dont get the copy shortcut option.

What I have is a tiny program that fits right on my google webpage. I guess I will have to keep that for now, since I looked in their gadgets area and there is nothing better than that.

I have world clock bookmarked. I dont use it that much.

Okay, right click on the word Google. Your list should come up and should include copy shortcut

Once you click on copy shortcut go to your desktop and right click and choose from the list the word Paste
