Did you also notice Dees name is on there. She'll do look ups for Spadafora Italy. She's the lady that helped a few months ago.

I dunno about being famous, but am really happy to be linked there! Any way I can connect with people researching Carini is wonderful to me.

Thanks for letting me know about that website, as you can imagine I love it!

Very Happy

I knew you would! After all the webmaster did extracts for his comune of Sersale like you have done for Carini and one of his surnames is Bianco. Although his research is not near as extensive as yours, he did a great job. Although it would have been nice to see the scans of the records there. He trace the comunes immigration records too - did you see that?
www.sersale.org/sersal...erlist.htm I love the way he did it so simple yet so many immigration records! Eventually I plan on doing that. I only have about 30 - 50 names now (not everything I have is on my website). I would like to take it one step further...past Ellis Island and find where they all ended up. One day many years from now I will catch up with you!!!

I like the look of that immigrants page. I have saved all of the Ellis Island Carini immigrants into excel, there are about 6,000 names. I will eventually put the info up and online as soon as I sort out just how I want it to look.

That sure is a great website!!

Smile

This is exactly the same type of thing I started doing a year ago and then didn't know what to do with it. I had no domain to host it to,. But now that I have, maybe I will think of continuing it. Its amazing how not only are the surnames mis spelled but the town(s) in question are as well.

Yes, I am having a tough time with that right now. I am not sure weither to put the names up mis-spelled and have a special section on mis-spelled names with the corrected names or just one listing with corrections. Some of these immigrants kept the mis-spelled names so I just don't know...I know my grandmother's name was mis-spelled which is why it took years to find her records. And Montalto Uffugo was spelled so many ways - with various abbreviations, it will take me a while to get everyone from there. I just had an idea!! Nuccia - I'll be emailing you this idea...hurry - you may want to block me. Razz
